Perioperative TEE 2.9

Aortic Surgery
There is a large aortic aneurysm measuring more than 9cm in diameter at the aortic arch level. This extends into the descending thoracic aorta. A guide wire was utilised by the surgeon, inserted from the right femoral artery. This is seen in the proximal ascending aorta. There is mild aortic regurgitation. There is trivial tricuspid regurgitation, seen in one view. The mitral valve is not imaged adequately. LV systolic function is normal.
