ME Right Pulmonary Vein

ME Right Pulmonary Vein

From the ME ascending aorta SAX view, advancing the probe and turning to the right (clockwise) will result in the ME right pulmonary vein view. The inflow of the inferior pulmonary vein is typically perpendicular to the insonation beam, but superior pulmonary vein inflow is typically parallel to the beam, and Doppler from this view can be performed. In addition to the right pulmonary veins, the superior vena cava (SAX view) and ascending aorta (SAX view) are also imaged.
